Educational Apps
I am often asked to suggest games and apps that students can use at home that are both fun and educational. I have no personal experience with using children’s apps but I found an article called ‘Trending Apps in Australia For Kids’ which I thought would be good. Here is the link: App Australia
Another source I found which recommended educational apps is Good Schools
I went through each one and I have included a link to a short video for my favourites:

Below are a few tips to help you decide the best apps for your child. I would love to hear your feedback on which ones your children liked best.
5 Tips for Buying Children’s Apps
1. A good app is the perfect combination of education and entertainment.
2. Explore and play with your child.
3. Select games that are developmentally appropriate for your child.
4. Select apps from trusted, reliable sources.
5. Determine whether apps are trying to market to your child.
Apps labelled “lite” or “free” often attempt to make money by trying to sell virtual items while a child is playing a game, or link to another related app that requires payment to download.
Happy Apping!
