Aleasha – Year 7 Maths
Kip McGrath Raymond Terrace

Aleasha is a year 7 student that started with us at Kip McGrath back in May of this year.

Before starting her Kip McGrath journey she was behind in her Maths work at school due to being lost in the group dynamic of the class and as a result fell behind her friends and peers. Aleasha’s homework was also suffering as it was making it difficult to complete without extra assistance.

Aleasha’s parent Heather said, “We decided to look at Kip McGrath after a terrible School Report, we knew it was time to get help – we wanted Aleasha to catch back up at School”.

After just a few weeks Aleasha was enjoying her Kip McGrath lessons and has expressed that “Kip McGrath teachers explain in a way I can understand and the one on one is really helping me focus”.

She particularly enjoys the convenience of being able to access all her lessons online and finds the way that the lessons and homework are structured, easy to follow, and engaging to complete.

Heather has noticed a significant difference in Aleasha’s attitude towards school and has received feedback from her classroom teacher that she is making improvements. Aleasha is now finding school a more enjoyable place to be with feeling more confident in her classroom setting. She is able to keep up more easily in class and homework has been a more enjoyable task to complete.

Some of the benefits that have come from Aleasha being on her Kip McGrath journey are that she is more confident and even behaviour in some classroom settings has improved. Aleasha’s goal is to continue with Kip McGrath even beyond reaching her grade level to continue to access support and further her learning.
